Why I like them: Making charges are very low, like 12-22 QAR per gram for 22K simple designs. For heavy bridal sets, 30-45 QAR per gram. They also give zero making sometimes during Eid and National Day.
Purity is 100% hallmarked, 916 for 22K, 875 for 21K. Bill is proper with weight, Qatar gold price you paid, making separately.

2. Al Fardan Jewellery - Most Trusted Brand
Al Fardan is big name in Qatar. But their Gold Souq branch gives lower making than mall branches.
Making: 15-30 QAR per gram for 22K, 20-40 QAR for 21K Qatari designs. Slightly higher than Al Zain, but designs are more premium, especially for diamond and Qatari bridal sets.
If you want branded and very trusted, go to Al Fardan. Resale value is excellent.

Their collection for 21K is biggest in Souq. I saw many Qatari families buying from there for weddings.
They also sell gold bars and biscuits with very low making, like 2-3 QAR per gram for 10 gram and above.
4. Malabar Gold & Diamonds (Gold Souq Branch)
Malabar is Indian brand, very famous. Their Gold Souq branch is better than mall branches for making.
Making: They often have zero making offer on gold bars and 8 gram to 100 gram biscuits during festivals. For jewelry, making 20-40 QAR per gram, but they give offers like free gold coin.
Why go to Malabar: If you want lightweight modern designs, daily wear, and branded bill and international exchange, Malabar is good.

If you have small budget and want to buy gift, Kalyan Gold Souq branch is good.
They also give good rate for old gold exchange. I exchanged my old chain there, they gave me rate based on Qatar gold rate today, only 3 QAR less than market.
7. Lulu Gold & Jewelry (Souq Al Faleh Branch)
Souq Al Faleh is extension of Gold Souq, near Lulu Hypermarket. Lulu Gold there is good for people who want to shop in AC, less crowded.
Making: 15-30 QAR per gram for 22K, 20-35 QAR for 21K. Slightly higher than main Gold Souq but still cheaper than mall.
Why go there: Less crowd, easy parking, and you can also shop for groceries in Lulu after buying gold.
How to Choose Best Shop - My Tips
